I got bored. I'm experimenting a bit here, I think it looks quite a bit smoother than most of my other emoticons. 113 frames, took about 90 minutes to complete.

I think you should speed up the ball's motion as it's thrown.   Not very polished, in my opinion.

Critiques
I also enjoy how you have the second hand move when he throws the ball, because that shows that you are paying attention to how a body would move. The ball squishing as it's bounced on the ground is also a plus.
The only critique I would have for this emote is that the toss is slow. It's the same pace as when it's bounced, and when a ball's thrown, it's usually got more speed to it than when it's bounced. Also (and this is just because I played softball for 5+ years), when the ball is released from the guy's hand, try adding a follow-through with the hand falling smoothly past the point of release. It'll make it feel a bit more natural.
All in all? Great idea, great work, great job.
The animation is nice too. I like that you had the second hand move when he throws it so it seems more realistic rather than just a cartoon.
The animation flow is also quite nice. Though the ending where he picks up the ball seems a little glitchy. It rolls forward then back toward the invisible wall just a smidge before it's picked up. But other than that. Wonderful.
